I am Julie from Minnesota.

I received Patricia Schultz’s “1,000 Places to See Before You Die” book as a gift several years ago. I won’t say it changed my life, but it has altered the way I travel, and where I travel. It isn’t the only travel book I consult, but I typically agree more with her opinion on the worthiness of a site than with others, such as Rick Steves or Frommer.

I have a goal to get to 50% of the places featured in the book before I die. This blog is primarily focused on documenting where I have been, and sometimes about where I will be going. Occasionally I will add other content….just because I can’t always be traveling.

No disrespect to The Bible, but I refer to Schultz’s book as “the book” throughout my blog.
