Budapest Hungary

Today is Saturday the 26th of September, 2015 and I’ve arrived in Budapest, Hungary for the first time.

Budapest site from the book that I experienced today:

  • Thermal baths

And I loved it. They aren’t as warm as my American hot tub, but seemed the perfect temperature on this rainy day. I agree the thermal baths are a must do when visiting Budapest.

We also took the funicular up castle hill. There are great views from this side of the city.

And then because it was raining and we’ve never been to this city, we toured with the hop-on/hop-off bus. The first was was so old that it was also raining (dripping) inside the bus, so we hopped off and then switched to another bus on another route.

It is a walkable city. Traffic seems bad all of the time. I don’t think I would drive here. Plus they have great public transportation.

Despite the rain, I am really enjoying Budapest.

I want to see the world! I am armed with the book "1,000 places to see before you die" and I am having a great time. I am also a dog lover and theatre snob.
