Coca-cola

Me and a coca-cola

There are things I do when traveling that I rarely do at home, and drinking coke is one of them. Regular coke.

I had the best coke ever after leaving the Borghese gallery. I didn’t realize how dehydrated I was until I slammed the coke. Very refreshing! Cue coke ad music…..

I’ve heard that coke abroad has real sugar instead of corn syrup, so it probably does taste a little different.

I have a very bad habit of letting myself get dehydrated when traveling in Europe. There is a very simple reason for this – I don’t know when I will find a public toilet so I don’t drink as much as I should. A full bladder is very uncomfortable!

Public toilets are not plentiful in any European city I’ve visited, but I learned something really helpful on my last day in Rome. Restaurant owners are required to let you use their toilet, even if you don’t buy anything. Information that would have been helpful days earlier!
