This is an archaeological park consisting of 8 Greek temples, in Sicily, all on the same mountain crest. The conditions of the temples are varied – they are from 510 – 430 BC.
It is a site to behold as you drive up and see the first temple. It is a very long, hot, walk along the crest to the other temples. Sadly, again due to time constraints, I didn’t see everything here. I saw one temple that was in excellent condition, and another that is mostly gone.
There is also some very interesting art scattered along the path. A giant green butt, one-half of a head, a giant man, etc. I didn’t hire a guide here either, so I don’t really know the history of the art…..but it does seem more recent than the temples.
