Catalan National Art Museum

This is in the book. I tried to visit it two years, but it was closed.

Catalan Art Museum

I was impressed with the architecture of the building. Very elegant! I wanted to walk up to the top of the cupolas, but they don’t seem to allow that. Lots of natural light, high ceilings, and grand archways.

I saw Dali’s work, several Picasso’s, many pieces by Casas and lots of other art by Spaniards I’ve never heard of. Everytime I go to a museum I try to speculate how many baby Jesus paintings exist in the world?! This museum has its fair share of baby and crucified Jesus art.  Sorry, no pics of the inside.

About jewelsworldtravels

I want to see the world! I am armed with the book "1,000 places to see before you die" and I am having a great time. I am also a dog lover and theatre snob.
